ASBA Welcomes The Field As 2019 League Sponsor

Mobile, Alabama – The ASBA is pleased to announce their partnership with The Field Training Facility & Sporting Goods as a new team sponsor for the 2019 season. The Field will be awarded a team’s uniform rights as well as the second pick in the ASBA Draft on June 5.

The Field serves as an indoor baseball and softball training facility for athletes of all ages, offering skills clinics, speed and agility classes and private hitting, pitching fielding and catching lessons.

The Field, located in Saraland, AL is also the official uniform partner of the ASBA. They produce all of the league’s uniforms and provide custom embroidering on hats and other apparel.

“I’m very excited about partnering with The Field this season,” said Michael Chiaradio, CEO of ASBA. “They have already done a lot to enhance our players’ experience and have a fantastic reputation for quality and reliability.”

The Field will select second overall as ASBA Insurance and ASBA Real Estate Investments will merge to create Team ASBA.

“Our sponsors aren’t in it to win it,” said Chiaradio. “Sure, everyone likes to come out on top, but their motivation is in making a positive impact in the community. It’s my job to foster a healthy environment for competitive balance so all our sponsors get the same opportunity to taste victory!”

The ASBA has not officially announced coaches for the summer season but Chiaradio did comment on the important role coaches play in the league.

“The people we bring in to coach for us are given total independence. I don’t give them advice about how to build their teams. I trust them and their judgement implicitly. Coaches in the ASBA are true leaders, mentors, and motivators and are hired to make a difference, not win a championship. Though, of course, that’s always nice!”

USA is a local, non-profit program that inspires and effects change throughout the Mobile, Alabama community. Partnering with organizations that promote positive action and the overall bettering of Mobile county, Moh-BEEL! USA’s endeavors range from environmental preservation to youth outreach.

“We are excited to have Moh-BEEL! USA back with us. Last year they made a huge impact on the ASBA’s launch and we are looking forward to joining forces again,” said Michael Chiaradio, CEO and Chairman of ASBA.

Last season Moh-BEEL! USA boasted the best record in the league with 10 All-Stars and seven All-ASBA players. Leading the team was Bobby Buchanan, who is currently an assistant coach at the University of Texas at Arlington. Buchanan won the ASBA’s Coach of the Year Award in 2018.

“It will be interesting to see if things end up differently for Moh-BEEL! USA this year,” Chiaradio joked. “They had the first pick in 2018, but by finishing the season in first place, they lost their draft advantage. They’ve got the last pick this year.”

The 2019 ASBA Draft will once again be held at Moe’s Original BBQ, 701 Spring Hill Avenue in Mobile, AL on June 5, 2019 at 4 pm CT. The ASBA Draft “snakes” in similar fashion to standard fantasy football leagues so the team picking fourth will also have the fifth pick and the team that picks first must wait until pick eight to choose again.
