Allison Lipovsky attended Harrison High School in Michigan. She was drafted third overall in the 2019 ASBA Draft by Performance Lab. Lipovsky went to Grand Valley State University, where she produced immediately.

Allison finished her rookie season with a 0.95 ERA and an 11-1 record. She was named the GLIAC Freshman of the Year. Throughout her career she continued to earn various accolades including, GLIAC Pitcher of the Year, NFCA All-Midwest Region Second Team honors, NFCA First Team All-American, 2019 Schutt Sports/NFCA National Pitcher of the Year, among many others. She left Grand Valley State University with nine single season records. She also holds career program records in opponent batting average (.154) and strikeouts per seven innings (9.76). She ranks second in career shutouts with 44 and strikeouts with 968.
