ASBA Insider: Jessica Burlingame

Article By: Matt Jordon

Jessica Burlingame attended Andover High School in Minnesota. After High School she attended Bemidji State University, where she gained college experience early and often appearing in 49 games in her freshman season. Jessica was drafted 22nd overall in the ASBA Draft by Performance Lab.

Burlingame’s collegiate numbers are very impressive. Throughout her career, she hit .362 in 644 at-bats. In her senior season, she showcased some speed by stealing 19 bags in only 19 attempts. She ended her career at Bemidji State University as the program’s all-time leader in at-bats (644), runs (133), hits (233), and triples (15).

It doesn’t look like the move to professional softball has phased Jessica who is hitting .345 with 2 home runs, 3 doubles, an a triple. Hopefully her game will continue to translate well into the ASBA as she recovers from an early season quad strain.
