Mobile, Alabama – The American Softball Association (ASBA) is pleased to announce the hiring of William Hess as a head coach for the women’s professional softball league. During his four years, he has not only made a huge impact on the program but he has also honed his skills as a coach.
“I’m excited to take it to the next level,” said Hess. “The ASBA came into existence at the perfect time. We needed an alternative for softball players to pursue their passion beyond college. I am honored to be a part of this program.”
Hess has been involved in numerous camps and clinics held by Southeastern Louisiana’s Head Coach, Rick Fremin and has a lifelong love for the game.
“Will’s passion speaks volumes,” said Michael Chiaradio, CEO and Chairman of ASBA. “That’s what our league is all about. We want coaches who will inspire as well as instruct our athletes. I’m thrilled that he has chosen to join us this season.”
Hess will coach Moh-BEEL! USA and he will have the fourth pick at the annual draft which will be held on Wednesday, June 5 at 4 pm CT at Moe’s Original BBQ, 701 Spring Hill Avenue in Mobile.
